“Sin Fronteras Watch & Act" Cinema a unique and innovative program that will enlighten, and engage community members in to faith in action groups.
The project needs a lot of your support, in spreading the word about this enterprise, in providing volunteer time to promote the project, and be part of this exciting venture!
The Objective: To provide a creative way to educate, raise awareness, motivate, and promote involvement of citizens in social change . "Sin Fronteras Watch & Act" Cinema wants to create a forum for the community to learn and talk about issues that affect our society, issues such as Immigration, globalization, health care, water contamination, etc.
The project will be for both sides of the border Brownsville and Matamoros (and other cities along the border). With this project, educational films and documentaries related to border, social justice and peace issues will be shown to the community and attendees will be invited to discuss about the film and then create some action that will enhance community living.
When possible, there will be Discussion Panels attending and leading the event. Eventually, this participation and involvement will lead to the creation of support and faith in action groups where participants will become advocates for social justice and peace issues.
